DTU is purchasing an X-ray macroscope for the micro-CT imaging instrument at the DanMAX beamline. The macroscope has a white-beam geometry and is using thin transparent scintillator for X-ray to visible light conversion. The target optical magnification of the macroscope is x2 and it covers a 10x10 mm2 field of view without vignetting and geometrical distortions. The numerical aperture of the visible optics is 0.27. The macroscope includes motorized focus and camera rotation adjustments, and includes a tiltable scintillator mount support.
